i will break the spell you put on me | everywhere i go, i am spellbound; you cannot have this control on me | 2014 words commentary Tag: Open | The dueling club had been reinstituted at Remus Lupin’s request - after all, it was better if they knew how to fight instead of just being pushed on out there with no idea of the skills they would need to survive in this war. It was in the third week of school at this point, and well, to put it kindly, he was not in a very good mood, thinking about his sister and that - that man cavorting around in secret.
To his surprise, as things were just about to start, he saw Severus Snape enter the room, conceivably to watch what was going on - probably so he could criticize him later on how he taught. However, an idea sparked in his head when he looked at the potions master and he couldn’t contain his grin.
“Welcome everyone. I’m glad that you could join us today - the dueling club has, in the past, been considered too dangerous for students - but with the safeties I have in place, we needn’t worry about injuries on any of the students. The purpose behind this club is fairly obvious - to learn how to duel. Out there, after you graduate, you may find yourself in a position where you need these skills - and it won’t be as safe as here.”
Remus’s eyes found Severus again, and there was a mischievous glint in his eyes. “To begin, I would like to ask Professor Snape to join me.” Most of the students started turning towards where he was watching, seeing Snape had been in the back, probably hoping not to have been noticed by the students. Without showing any surprise, Severus marched forward, his robes swishing around him. “The two of us will demonstrate how duels can go outside of here - we’ll have many less rules than you will when you begin, just as a show of… how serious this is. The only rules we will have to follow are… One, no aiming to kill. Two, no unforgivable curses. Anything else goes.”
Severus stared at Remus, his expression unreadable. He pulled out his wand, and let his swishy robe fall to his side. Remus pulled out his wand and held up a finger. “If you would please stand back,” he said to the students who took a large step back. Remus smiled and flicked his wand. “Protego Totalum.”
“Smart. Knowing you, your aim would hit a bystander,” Severus said with a smirk. Remus smiled back and rolled his neck.
“More like, now we needn’t worry about hurting the students, either of us.” Severus just looked at him, his face now unamused. “On my mark. 1. 2 -”
“Stupefy!” Severus had cast his spell before Remus hit his mark, but he managed to cast a shield charm, absorbing the red light. Remus chuckled, silence filling the room, the students quiet and watching with anticipation. The two studied each other, their eyes taking in everything, every little body twitch the other made. To the students, it was probably boring as they didn’t realize they were essentially planning out five, ten, twenty steps ahead, seeing if what they planned would work, and contingencies if it didn’t work.
Suddenly a flash of silver light emerged from Remus’s wand, followed by red, blue, red, yellow, silver, red - with a quick wave of his wand each time, Severus was able to deflect them, before suddenly his face was a little too close to a stream of fire. Acting quickly, he deflected the flames to the side, and suddenly was hit with a quick spell, sending him flying up by his ankle, dropping his wand, having been caught off guard.
Remus slowly walked up to him and gave him a cocky sort of grin. “If you give up, I’ll let you down.”
Severus just looked at him with an extremely unamused look in his eyes. Remus clicked his tongue and shook his head. Flicking his wand, a small chunk of Severus’s right leg was gouged out, causing the blood to start dripping down his face. Remus leaned down to pick up the dropped wand with a smile.
However, if one was watching there was a smug smile on Severus’s face as soon as Remus had turned away. There was an explosion - sending Remus flying back. In the chaos of the flash, Severus had summoned his wand to him and released himself from the charm holding him up.
“Really, Remus,” Severus said amused, “Using such… childish spells. It’s a wonder you’ve not been killed out there yet.” Remus had gotten to his feet, his clothes a bit singed, but otherwise unharmed.
“I was going easy on you,” Remus said dusting off his shoulder and looking to Severus, “I wasn’t sure if you were going to take this seriously or not.”
“I take everything seriously.”
The two locked eyes for a moment and Remus laughed slightly. “Now this is where the fun really begins. Be sure to pay attention to this everyone.”
Severus just raised an eyebrow and watched him. He knew why this was happening - what the meaning behind taking ‘this’ seriously meant. It peeved him - he didn’t care if he didn’t trust him, but he wasn’t trusting his sister - the one he practically abandoned to go fight the war. The quiet fury was building inside of him, and he finally decided he would go on the offensive.
Quicking casting a curse that would make Remus grow fur, as to trick him into thinking it would be fine, directly behind it, Severus had sent an ‘Incarcerous’. Seeing Remus dodge the first, he couldn’t help but grin as the werewolf was caught up in the ropes.
Of course, Remus immediately cut them off, barely rolling out of the way of a stunning spell. Remus was on the defensive, and that was exactly what Severus had wanted. He didn’t leave any time for Remus to send off a spell to attack, curse after curse, potentially deadly ones mixed with completely trivial curses - after all, hit with enough trivial curses, Remus would be bogged down having chosen to deflect the worse ones if nothing else. And boy, it would suck to have to deal with the symptoms of a cold while dueling.
However, it wasn’t long before Remus had cast a large shield charm, buying him just enough time to push Severus back, barely dodging a Gouging spell, and now Severus was the one having to defend, but he didn’t seem too worried about it.
Splitting apart a little bit of the stage, and casting an elasticity charm on it, he sent it flying for Remus, one side with a sticking charm. Of course, Remus dodged the splintered wood, causing the piece to stick behind him. However, that was all part of Snape’s plan.
“Sectumsempra!” Non-verbal spells were better for deceiving your enemy, making them not know what was heading their way, but he wanted Remus to know what he was doing - the only way Remus could avoid it was to dodge physically. And he did. Instantly after seeing where Remus had dodged, Severus grinned, dropping his wand arm.
Extremely confused, Remus sent off a quick spell, before he realized the mistake. The bouncy piece of wood? It had reflected the curse - it wasn’t just elastic, it was essentially a spell’s mirror now - and somehow Severus had predicted exactly how he would dodge. Barely managing to turn around in time, the spell hit him right in the face - an X gouged into his face, blood starting to drip from the wounds.
Shit. He didn’t know how to heal this one. Barely managing to create a barrier so the blood wouldn’t get into his eyes, he turned towards Severus who was giving him a ‘what are you going to do about it’ look.
That cocky bastard. Remus was not going to give up. No sir. He wasn’t going to just let this man stand there gloating pulling one over one him. He wasn’t going to just let this man take his sister away from him. He wasn’t going to lose to him.
“If this were a real duel, you’d be dead,” Severus noted with almost a sing-song inflection.
“Depends on the Death Eater,” Remus growled. Without allowing Snape to respond, Remus immediately was on the offensive, sending spell after spell, knocking Severus back with a wind charm, focusing more on elemental magic - magic that could take up a considerable amount of vision - the swirling flames of Incendio and the currents of Aguamenti.
Managing to sneak several feet to the side after his initial volley, which were all blocked - he expected that - he sent a disarming charm right at Severus, which from the angle he was at, was barely dodged, unable to use a shielding charm in time. Perfect - just after that he had sent two curses in the directions Severus could have dodged, and he was hit squarely in the chest with one of his spells - causing Severus to tumble to the ground.
Using this moment of distraction, he disarmed Severus, used a jelly brain jinx and approached him, breathing heavily, his hair a mess. Why was he smiling? Severus seemed to be smiling? Remus took cautious steps, paying special mind to something hitting him from behind. His protection charm on his face was starting to wear off, and he could feel the blood loss starting to get to him. He didn’t use a Cheering Charm on him, so why was he smiling?
Remus cast a quick Diffindo, which cut neatly into his shoulder. Snape winced in pain but that stupid smile was still on his face? Had that jelly brain jinx made him an idiot?
Suddenly, Remus’s feet were stuck to the ground, causing him to trip. The sounds that followed were almost as if a Cruciatus curse had been cast on the young werewolf, as he screamed out in pain as his feet were… well, to put it lightly, very much hurting. Right around the ankle area, where the achilles tendon was, and boy it wasn’t a pretty sight.
There was only one thought in his head as he started to lose consciousness - protect Rose. With his last few breaths he managed to utter two spells: Confringo and Stupefy. Both managed to hit Severus in the chest, likely due to the jelly brain jinx cast earlier, causing an explosion on a stunned Severus Snape.
…
…
When he awoke, Remus was in the hospital wing, the only thought on his mind: ‘OUCH OUCH OUCH’. Even with Madam Pomfrey’s healing it was still incredibly painful. It was almost like Madam Pomfrey had an alarm on, as she had instantly been by his side fussing over him and ‘how stupid he had to be to get into such a mess’. Remus shrugged her off and glanced around, seeing in the bed next to him his dueling opponent, Severus Snape.
The injuries were fairly bad, to summarize…
Remus had his ankles broken and all of the ligaments and tendons around his ankle severed, causing a lot of distress for Madam Pomfrey who was still working on getting it healed slowly. Along with that he had two lines on his face in an X from a Sectumsempra which were still healing, as that one was much like werewolf wounds, a cold that they just had to wait for it to go away, and a sprained wrist which was already healed up.
Severus had a small chunk of his leg missing and only half had been regrown at this point, which made his leg muscles very unhappy, burns all over his chest which were slowly being treated as the way they were given to him were magical and therefore much harder to heal – the ones on his face were gone at this point with no lasting damage – a slightly foggy head, his legs wouldn’t cooperate until the jinx wore off, and finally a scar along his shoulder from the now healed wound from a nicely case Diffindo.

She all but stormed into the Hospital Wing, out of respect to Madam Pomfrey of course, who caught her coming in with a narrowing of her eyes.
"Where are they?" Rose said, loud enough that the question announced her presence into the hospital wing. Madam Pomfrey directed her with a wave of her hand and she stomped in the direction indicated.
Rose was also followed by a brown haired Tonks. Rose hadn't a care that this was going to be their first meeting outside of the Leaky Cauldron, though she did have a worry, Tonks had insisted. Rose wasn't sure what Tonks saw in the giant jerk of her brother. But it is, what it is.
When Rose had heard what had happened in the duelling club, she nearly snapped her wand in half. Though, she wasn't surprised this happened. But talk about being inappropriate. Now the whole school will be talking about it.
Was she glad it was her last year? Maybe, just a little. Just a tad.
She stood in between the two of them and sighed.
"Are you two pleased with yourselves?"

i will break the spell you put on me | everywhere i go, i am spellbound; you cannot have this control on me | 343 words commentary | Oh no. He knew that voice. Remus groaned wishing he hadn’t woke up yet. Severus seemed to be awake too, though Remus suspected he had been awake for a short time before he had woken up too. To be fair, Remus was in a lot of pain still, and looking at his own injures compared to Snape’s… he had to admit he got hit a bit worse – but only because that bastard used dark magic on him!
Remus looked up, his eyes drifting towards Tonks – he had seen her during meals, but up close his fears had been confirmed. Tonks was most definitely Luna. Shit shit shit. He tried not to think about it before, thinking it was just his mind playing tricks on him.
“I just did as I was asked,” said Snape. Remus couldn’t help but roll his eyes.
“You used Dark Magic, you bastard.” He quickly covered his mouth realizing he had just cursed the professor in front of two students, even if they knew their history and how they didn’t like each other at all. Even still, that was wrong of him. “Sorry. I shouldn’t have called you that.”
“Regardless, dark magic was not against the rules. I was within the guidelines laid out. It is your fault for not including that clause in the rules.”
Remus wanted to get up and just… punch the guy in the face, but he wouldn’t do that – even if his boy was in a state where he could, he was in front of two students, and there was the fact he rather not punch him for something so… small in comparison to other things. He was angry. He wanted to hurt Severus and he knew he had acted childish. But he would do it again.
“Well I’ll keep that in mind for next time.” There wasn’t going to be a next time. Dumbledore was just waiting to tell him that he was going to make a rule that Severus was not allowed at dueling club meetings to avoid this in the future.

Rose looked unamusedly between the two.
"So, who is going to detail the story for me of why you two thought it was a brilliant idea to beat the shit of out of each other in front of a gaggle of students? What happened to retain an air of professionalism?"
Rose shook her head looking at Tonks who hadn't moved from her side. She looked at her, a small smirk forming on her lips. "Dammit Tonks, you were the one worried about him! Don't just hide behind me."
Rose took Tonks by the shoulders and marched her over to the chair next to Remus, pushing the girl down into
Rose looked at Remus with a half grin.

Severus looked at Rose and then glanced at Remus, which honestly, he felt very proud of getting that damage done on – it just made him feel better to know that he was indeed powerful enough to take on Remus Lupin if the situation arose where he would need to do so. Of course, maim, hurt, but not kill. He might hate Remus, but he would never kill him, not anymore at least – and not because he was completely taken by his sister. [break][break] “It was his idea. To ‘show the students how a real duel may work’. In a rare instance of showing some use of his brain, Remus did put up a spell to make sure none of the students would get hurt. And then he felt the need to replay the events from school, using that spell I invented and Potter used on me to degrade me in front of half the student body. Luckily, I’ve progressed since then and I fought back.” [break][break] Remus was rolling his eyes at almost every other word Snape said, though Severus didn’t care too much, mostly paying attention to how Rose would react – hoping she would forgive him and take him back. He was worried this might… well it might end up like things with Lily had ended up. [break][break] Remus sighed and shook his head, giving Rose a ‘Really’ look when she half-grinned at him with Tonks sitting by. He tried to avoid looking at Tonks, but he kept glancing over. He couldn’t help but think she was so beautiful, even now that he was positive she was his student and that was – he had kissed her cheek even, and he had been completely taken with her and here she was worried about him. [break][break] “I didn’t think he would resort to dark magic and cause lasting damage.” [break][break] “It’s not like those scars on your face won’t blend in with the rest of them.” [break][break] “That isn’t the point.” [break][break] “You were the one who turned around – it was aimed for you back.” [break][break] “You fired it off in the first place!” Remus huffed and crossed his arms, trying to flex his feet, but it was still painful so he winced. “This isn’t going anywhere. I just thought it could be a friendly duel between two professors to show the students how a duel could end up going after they left – it wouldn’t be any good if they got used to slow reactions and a protective barrier. They’d just end up dead.”

Her eyes locked with Sev's as he explained and she sighed heavily. Her eyes slid back to Remus. These two. She honest to Rowling did not know what to do with the pair of them.
She knew they would never get along, but, geez. Couldn't the awkward civility work for them even with her and Sev dating? She rubbed the bridge of her nose with two fingers.
"Well, I'm glad that the aim wasn't to kill each other."
She set a glare on Remus. "Is civility too much to ask of you Remus? For my sake?"
Her frustration had boiled down to a simmer as she watched the two of them in their back and forth. She suddenly snickered. "The two of you argue like a married couple."
She let that comment hang in the air for a moment, pulling her wand out and using it to move a chair next to Severus' bed. She sat in the chair, facing her brother.
"You should really pick your enemies better Remus," she said smirking. "Like, I get that your love and protection over me was a factor in this, but you really shouldn't go against a man in love. Next time, if you wanna make a performance, at least choose Sirius or James, the show would probably be much more entertaining."
She smiled and then turned in her chair to look at Snape. "And as for you, sir, I ask that if my brother has the smart idea to ask you to duel again, that some restraint is shown."
She looked at the scars on her brother's face, sighing softly. "Not that I am not flattered by the two of you. But you are Professors here at this school."
She was having an internal battle with herself. Every part of her wanted to take up the jar of Dittany paste and tend to the wound on Severus' leg. But she was hesitant to show affection towards the potion master in front of her brother. However, it might just get the fact through his head, that this wasn't her being imperused or whatever. She sighed, looked at Remus.
"Now sit tight. I'm going to check that chunk you took out of Sev's leg, and I'll get to your face."
That said, Rose stood again, taking up the jar of dittany on the bedside table and sat on the edge of his bed, facing him. Taking up his leg and draping it across her lap. She smiled softly, her gaze locking with his as she pushed his pant leg up far enough to expose the healing wound, being deliberate with her touch.
"Though, Tonks. Would you be a dear and tend to that wound on my brother's face?"
Rose gave Tonks a wink.
Tonks, who was gazing at Remus, suddenly jumped. Her eyes darted to the dittany next to her and she nodded, maybe too eagerly. She had been a little bit apprehensive about doing anything in front of his sister, but it seemed she was encouraging it.
It would at least distract him from his sister and Snape, that was for sure. She hopped up, a bit more energy in her now and took up the jar, unscrewing it's top. She dragged the chair over, rather noisily, to bring Remus' attention on her, so she could sit while she tended to the gash on his face.
"I told you my friend was pretty amazing."
She chuckled. "Nice to see you again, Remus.
At least you used your real name."

i will break the spell you put on me | everywhere i go, i am spellbound; you cannot have this control on me | 442 words commentary | Severus let out an amused chuckle, but Remus on the other hand had his mouth hanging open. Married couple?!? Apparently, he didn’t like this Lupin but the other one. How could they be like a married couple? Remus let a disgusted look appear on his face while he pictured himself marrying Severus Snape. Thanks Rose. He was never going to be able to scrub his brain clean of that image now.
Remus scoffed. “In love?” He pinched the bridge of his nose. Please, please whatever higher power was out there, don’t make this stick. He couldn’t stand if Snape became his brother. Then again, he did want her happy – he just was convinced that Snape couldn’t do that. And now an equally disturbing image of that marriage flew through his head – his sister and Snape kissing. Oh boy he looked a little sick – moreso than the jinx that made him have a terrible cold. “In the end, he still didn’t win – we both lost. But if I had kept my guard up at the end there I would never have fallen and I would have won!”
Severus rolled his eyes and then looked at Rose, a tiny half-smile on his face. “I can’t make any promises if he’s going to act like a brat. I won’t stand there and let him attack me.” He was wearing a smug grin when she said his name like that in front of her brother. And on top of that, she was going to help treat his leg. Boy that was something he was sure would piss off Remus even more, intimate dittany dabbing. He watched her, trying not to shiver at the feeling of her touch against him, not because Remus was there, but he was in general a fairly private person and people were there and watching.
Meanwhile Remus looked at the pair with a look like he was going to vomit but was quickly distracted by Rose suggesting that Tonks take care of him. His face quickly reddened, and he looked at the beautiful brown-haired girl, glancing slightly at the pair and then back at her. “I never doubted your friend was amazing.” Though really, he felt dumb that he didn’t figure this out sooner.
He looked up for a moment and then back at her with a small smile. “Nice to see you again, Luna. It seems you took my late suggestion as to keep your name secret, though I doubt for the same reasons. You knew… I wouldn’t have let thing continue on if I had known…” He swallowed looking at her with a small smile. “… I’m glad you did.”

"Yes, in love, it's a thing, it happens to people," Rose rolled her eyes. "Would you have won, though? Really? And won what exactly?"
Another roll of her eyes. "I would prefer that people don't get hurt on the account of me, for any reason, though. I would ask that this not happen again, please. I won't be pitted against either of you, by either of you. I'm not asking either of you to form some miraculous friendship, I know there's too much bad blood for that."
Dittany applied, she was now using her wand to help with the mending of the skin.
"Dora," Rose said, smirking slightly, her focus still on Severus. "Why don't you drop the disguise, hm? Now that you know each other?"
Tonks jumped at the use of the shortening of her first name, sending a glare at Rose. But the glare only lasted a moment before she blushed darkly. Though she was thankful, the disguise was getting kind of tiring.
Tonks seemed to relax her shoulder, a sigh falling from her and in the next moment, brown ringlets shortened into a somewhat messy pink hair. She looked at Remus, still blushing, but a smirk on her lips.
"Well, I mean... I suppose I should start off by apologising for the ruse, of course. But, I did have a really great time."
A blush appeared again. "I'm glad I did too. It was much easier to get to know each other. Though, I admit I had a tiny bit of an upper hand."

i will break the spell you put on me | everywhere i go, i am spellbound; you cannot have this control on me | 347 words commentary | “Won the knowledge if he hurts you I can kick his ass.” Remus answered this immediately with no hesitation whatsoever.
Severus looked at Rose – at least she didn’t expect them to become friends. He didn’t think that would ever happen either, but he knew she was smart and would realize that. It was one of the thing he liked about her: she was intelligent and wanted solutions that were in the realm of possible. “I’ll behave if he does.”
Remus shot Severus a glare and he quickly crossed his arms across his chest and shook his head. “You were so good at behaving when you used Dark Magic. If that was you behaving, I would hate to see what you’d do if you lost your temper.”
“You’re an insolent dog, Lupin, if you think I would lose my temper on you. You aren’t worth it.”
Remus glared at him, about ready to retort but then the image of them being a married couple made him shut his mouth and just scowl looking to the side. However, it wasn’t long after that, Tonks changed her hair and he couldn’t help but stare at her for a few moments. It wasn’t a bad stare. It was a stare that said ‘holy shit you’re even more beautiful than before and I didn’t thin that was possible’ sort of stare. Of course, she wasn’t quite as refined looking, and much more punk looking, but… He liked both of those types of looks.
Snape gave Rose a knowing look, storing this away for future teasing against the DADA professor.
“I –“ He paused, swallowing and trying to find his words – he was her professor, he couldn’t say she was pretty or that would be inappropriate. He quickly cleared his throat, but his eyes refused to move away from her, “It’s alright, I – I understand what you meant – you didn’t… do it to hurt me. T-To be fair if I knew who you really were I’d have… run away very quickly. Then a-again then you could have had the whole pizza to yourself…”

Again, she shook her head. But the good news was, while she was still annoyed with the childish act, she had really accepted it for what it was. her brother just looking out for her as usual. Though the schoolboy grudge adding to the fire wasn't helpful at all.
"You're both going to swear to me, here and now, that from now on, you're both going to behave with civility," she said this sternly, looking between the both of them. "And watch the dog comments, Sev."
She giggled lightly though, catching Severus gaze and smiling. Sure, this whole thing was another thing Sev could tease her brother about, but hell, even she was going to tease him about it.
"Smitten," she said, under her breath, shaking her head.
Tonks finished up applying the dittany to the gash on his face and used the nearby towel to clean off her hands. In a bold move, she reached out to take his hand, smiling.
"Now why would I want that? I much enjoyed sharing it and the evening with you."
She was delighted to see that he seemed to enjoy her 'usual' way of looking.

i will break the spell you put on me | everywhere i go, i am spellbound; you cannot have this control on me | 261 words commentary | “I swear only if he behaves,” Severus said looking right at Remus. To be perfectly honest, Remus was a little bit surprised he would say that. Then again, that was the perfect way to try to make him look like the good guy no matter what happens. “If he stops acting like a dog, then I won’t call him one.”
Remus bit his lower lip, the anger building up inside of him. “I’ll swear if he behaves,” Remus shot back. The corner of his mouth was twitching slightly. He really wanted to smack that man for even daring to like his sister in a way unbecoming of a professor.
Then again, his mind kept drifting back to that day when he did things to a student that was unbecoming a professor too, with the student sitting right next to him. Of course, it was different – he didn’t know her for 6 years prior as a student, and he didn’t even know she was a student for a while. It was different. Totally different. Also, he wasn’t a massive prick like Severus.
“Completely smitten,” Severus said quietly so only Rose could hear, giving her a quick wink while Remus focused on Tonks.
“I – I – Well… I… enjoyed it too,” He looked at her hand that held his and he swallowed, thinking of when he sang to her and what happened after that. His face was a deep red color at this point, his eyes glancing to her lips, his heart saying ‘reenact it’ and his mind screaming ‘STOP STOP THIS IS BAD’.

Again, she sighed, a shake of her head and she finished up with Severus' leg. Shifting back into the chair, turning to sit facing him now, now that her brother was thoroughly distracted by Tonks.
"I'll show you acting like a dog," she muttered, loud enough for Sev to hear and no one else. She gave that impish grin of hers, speaking still in a low whisper, "that leg looks like it's going to take time to heal, Sev. Perhaps we should change our normal Saturday lessons to something more comfortable?"
She gave a wink.
"I'm just glad you didn't get too beat up," said Tonks. "I have to admit when Rose told me what had happened. I was more than a little bit worried."
She reached out to brush her fingers gently across his cheek, frowning slightly. "But with a little love and care, I think you'll heal up just fine."

i will break the spell you put on me | everywhere i go, i am spellbound; you cannot have this control on me | 200 words commentary | Severus’s eyes widened slightly, taken a bit by surprise by Rose’s comment. He gave her an amused look and bit his lower lip just slightly, his tongue poking out and just barely wetting his lips.
“What exactly do you have in mind, my dear?” Severus asked back, that smile he had worn when they were in private around each other on his face. He wasn’t much of an expressive person, but when he was around her, he couldn’t seem to stop himself. If he had to, he could, it was just that he didn’t feel he had to like he felt he did around everyone else. He felt comfortable around her. And that was just a wonderful feeling.

“I appreciate your… concern. But you needn’t worry about me,” He squeezed her hand slightly, “I can take care of pesky snakes if I really needed to.” There was a glance at Snape who was making eyes at his sister and he could feel his blood boil slightly, but he was more concern with the hand in his right at this moment. He’d deal with Severus later.
“And who will be providing the love and care? I really hope its you.”

She giggled, swinging her legs onto the bed and across his lap, gently, mindful of any injuries and smoothed out her skirt. She leaned her elbow against the table next to his bed, resting her cheek in her hand, chewing her lip thoughtfully.
"Wellll," she intoned softly, her gaze locking with his. "Perhaps maybe your quarters."
She gave him a grin.
Tonks giggled. "I think Rose can handle said snake well enough."
Her gaze had also moved to Rose for a brief second, just in time to see her put her legs over his lap. She smiled softly.
"Well, of course, it'll be me," she replied, eyes sparkling. "I wouldn't let it be any other."

i will break the spell you put on me | everywhere i go, i am spellbound; you cannot have this control on me | 195 words commentary | Severus gave her a quick wink, his cheeks turning slightly pink at the suggestion – he hadn’t let anyone into his quarters before. Well, except Dumbledore once when he was talking to him about some things and Severus had already changed into his pajamas. Dumbledore was always very good at sneaking up on him when he least expected it.
“Perhaps,” He set a hand on her legs, moving it slightly up and down her leg, “That would be for the best.” A little nervous about it, he was willing to take that step forward with her. “Though, the distractions would be much greater, the comfort would outweigh I think.” He drew a few little circles on her legs, grinning at her.
---
“Unless she falls into the snake’s trap. It’s better anyways to have more than one set of eyes.” Remus glanced again seeing Severus’s hand on her leg and then quickly looked away again.
“Mmm… then again, it would be highly unprofessional, given I’m your professor and you’re my student.” He gave her a small sad smile before he chuckled to himself, “Though I suppose we destroyed that precedent already.” He gave her a wink.
