"Are you sure you don't want to ask her?"
It had probably been the third or fourth time this week he'd asked him. And he couldn't count how many times in the last three weeks. Course, he swiftly cut that out after hearing about the duelling club incident.
So it hadn't been that many times. But, Sirius Black was getting frustrated. The students he had talked to hadn't seen nor heard of such a thing, or place, where one hides things to never be found again.
He had half a mind to ask Moaning Myrtle, but he figured that wouldn't go too terribly well.
Not to mention the recent developments had him... on edge. Especially on the Rose and Snape front. Sirius Black wasn't stupid. Remus might refuse to talk to her, but, Sirius was ten second of asking her everything she knew. Between her, and his cousin, the both of them are probably the closest thing they got to their own map - which they still haven't found, by the way.
But, out of respect for his good ol' pal Moony, he hadn't approached either of them.
But he was about to.
Moony or not.
"What if Snape has already asked?"

i will break the spell you put on me | everywhere i go, i am spellbound; you cannot have this control on me | 255 words commentary | Remus had rolled his eyes as he ordered his papers on his desk, his eyes not even glancing up to Sirius. He had already told him that he was very much sure he didn’t want to drag his sister into any of this. However, when Sirius suggested that Snape had already asked her, he stilled completely, one of the essays he held falling to the ground. He hadn’t thought of that, though his face didn’t show that – in fact he didn’t show anything. It was as if he was frozen in space.
As if he hadn’t just frozen, he bends down and picks up the essay that was dropped and straightens the papers and sets them down on his desk. He looks straight at Sirius with a very serious look, pun intended, of course and he shakes his head just barely.
“He wouldn’t do that,” And boy, if he did, Remus was going to have some words for that man. He understood just as well as he did how dangerous this could be in the hands of someone who couldn’t defend themselves. Even he wasn’t that great at Occlumency, though he wasn’t too bad – it was a skill one needed just in case they were captured and questioned.
“Severus is a sensible man, he wouldn’t put her in that kind of danger. While yes, they may be good resources, I will not stand by and let my sister be used as a tool in this war. It’s too dangerous. Severus would understand that as well.”

Sirius watched as the essay dropped, an eyebrow raising into his hair.
"Would he not?"
Sirius shook his head. "I agree that he would understand that. But he would also realize that A, she's a Gryffindor; B, she's your sister; and C, because of the two following factors, she probably knows this school about as well as we do, if not better. I'm not saying she'd be used in the war, but, she could be a fountain of that knowledge we've been looking so hard to find?"
He sighed. "I don't think she'd want to be involved in what were doing anyway. I have a feeling she'll have enough on her plate as it is. Especially if Lucius goes sniffing around..."

i will break the spell you put on me | everywhere i go, i am spellbound; you cannot have this control on me | 224 words commentary | Remus stared at Sirius for a few moments longer and sat down at his desk and covered his face for a moment, sucking in a deep breath. He dropped his hands to the desk and looked at Sirius with almost a pathetic sort of sad look in his face.
“If Lucius goes sniffing around, its even more important to keep her and Dora completely in the dark, yes? What if he found out what we were up to because more people than were necessary found out, huh? What if he found out what we were up to because those two aren’t yet trained enough to deal with things like this? They’ve had a good life. A wonderful life. The world outside of Hogwarts isn’t anything like how it is in here. Have you forgotten?”
He rubs the side of his head for a moment and finds a part on his desk to stare at, not wanting to look up at Sirius for the moment. He was worried. He was scared. He didn’t want to endanger them. They could figure it out without doing that. And he was determined to do exactly that. “We know this castle forwards and backwards. They can’t tell us something we don’t already know. There’s a reason Dumbledore wanted us to come back. We just haven’t thought of it yet.”

"It'll be tough if he does come around, that's for sure," Sirius agreed, sighing. "Hopefully we'll get wind of it early enough so that Rose can be warned to not go waltzing into Snape's office haphazardly as she does like she owns the place."
Sirius snickered. "I've got to agree with you there. The outside world is nothing like being in Hogwarts walls. It's like they should be learning the skills to protect themselves in here, perhaps."
Sirius sighed, "I suppose. But what if we're missing something? That your sister or Dora's found in there time here? It's not like we cartographed this entire school."
